Through a campus-based recruiting initiative Evergreen Packaging is seeking individuals with technical undergraduate degrees including engineering (Mechanical; Industrial; Electrical or Chemical) who, after a short period in project and continuous improvement work, are interested in quickly moving into manufacturing leadership assignments leading teams of 12-35 employees in high-volume manufacturing settings, and ultimately, facility level leadership.
These assignments will strongly focus on:
· Production operation and project engineering
· Equipment modernization
· Process engineering and optimization
· Continuous Improvement and Lean initiatives
· Assistance with operations management
These temporary assignments may last 12-18 months at one facility followed by a rotation to another North American converting location for another training assignment. Program participants may expect 1-3 training assignments before selected for a permanent assignment at one of our locations.
Participating individuals should be comfortable with (and expect to):
· Spend a majority of time on the factory floor in continual interaction with the production personnel as well as the production equipment
· Effectively interact and communicate with all levels of the operation
· Possess skill sets such as operational problem-solving, and capability to manage process improvement projects
· Display Mechanical/Electrical aptitude with our specific equipment
· Demonstrate leadership of optimization opportunities
