Awards and Recognitions

Evergreen Packaging facilities have received numerous awards for environmental, safety and health performance. In addition to the VPP recognitions; the Pine Bluff mill received awards for no lost time injuries in 2004 and 2005, and the 2nd safest mill (over 2,000,000 man-hours) for 2005 and 2006 in the United States. Our Plant City, FL converting site received environmental excellence awards for 7 straight years and the AF&PA Safety Award for 2005.The Pine Bluff mill is ISO 14001 certified for environmental management systems.


The Voluntary Protection Program

The Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) requires cooperation among management, labor, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to promote worksite safety and health. OSHA recognizes the outstanding efforts and exemplary achievement of employees and employers in comprehensive safety and health management systems through approval into the VPP. Evergreen has four VPP certified worksites: Cadron Creek and Pine Bluff Woodyards, and Plant City and Turlock converting facilities.
